Hi,

The price is the same but a little more expensive f?nix.
  • I've nevered has an issue with sweat and the OHRM, and I currently use 4 different Garmin watches with OHRM. (including a fenix 5x in the heat of the summer)

Why do you have basically the same thread in the 935 and f5x forums? It is so you can see both sides? It's kind of a pain in that the the folks in f5x thread can't respond to posts in the thread in the 935 forum and vice versa. Maybe make one a link to the other?

Because I want to contrast the opinions of the two sides
  • I have used both the 935 and the 5x. Ultimately, I kept the 5x and returned the 935. The reasons that affected my decision were:
    • I love the maps. I mostly use my watch for running. I'm a fairly normal runner; I'm not running ultra marathons or through canyons. And I still find the maps to be really helpful. I'll program courses and send them to my watch. This allows me to zig zag through backroads in parts of my town I'm not familiar with, navigate the wooded trails around my town, and safely run through cities I don't know when I travel for work.
    • I love the look of the watch - I think the 5x looks better than the 935, but that's just a preference thing.
    • I don't mind the weight. At first the weight bothered me, because the watch slid and hit my wrist bone while running. Someone in these forums, however, suggested that I run the watch to the inside of the my wrist, and it hasn't bothered me since.
    • The GPS is not as good as on the 935. However, once I got a Stryd, this didn't matter as much. Sure, the GPS tracks are slightly less pretty than on the 935, the tracks still do the job of showing me what street I was running on. And with the Stryd, the pace and distance aren't affected by GPS inaccuracy.
    • The strap was more comfortable on the 5x. It felt a bit more supple. I'm not sure how else to describe it.
    Hope this helps.
