I'm sure we'd all like whatever we want on our devices but that's not how it works. Your device is 'as is' when you bought it unless Garmin issue an update specifically for it. In your case one hasn't yet been issued. The fact other devices have been updated is immaterial. Indeed it's entirely conceivable you may receive an update for your device when others don't. On this occasion it's the other way around.
When Garmin decided to treat it as another device, make it clear in all their marketing, forum and product page. Even though same version of software, there's still differentiation on Connect IQ app support.
