Just came to the forums for the first time in a while. Can't remember how long ago I noticed watch had updated to 5.3 but this week I've had some runs where my heart rate after a while seemed way too high. Like today, 8 miles at a low 10 minute pace (marathon next week targeting ~8:40 pace) so 10 is slow. Was in the 120s and sometimes 130s for the first 5-6 miles which would be normal enough. Then at some point up it went to 160s and 170s. I should be in the 7s for that. Unless there's something wrong with me no chance it was that high. I'll load 5.33 immediately to see if it helps. Otherwise I might shut it off on the Marathon because if I'm strolling along feeling great in the first 20 when I should be 150s and if I see high 160s or 170s it'll just freak me out.
5.40 is out with a fix for the issue, but the description says that it will roll out to 20% of users. I'd just like to wake up with a notification that my watch has updated to 5.40, without cables and stuff. How do I know if I'm in the 20% or not?
(yeah I know, by waking up next morning and checking my watch). :D
I just updated to 5.4 (Stable) and had a 5k run and my HR seemed odd.... anyone else? (by odd i mean much lower than my normal readings for this type of run)
Had a slight problem updating, apparently watch memory was full. Had to delete some activities from watch and then the update installed fine from watch system menu. The mobile app still insisted the watch memory was full until it sent the update again which seemed to take quite long (although the watch had already installed the update) buzzing the memory full error message occasionally during the sync until it was done.
A bit confusing but seems to work now.
edit: did first run with 5.40 and OHR seems to work again.
