It works for me, have had 5.30 for a couple days now and everything seems "fine" (ar least what we have come to expect as "fine" by Garmin standards). You might have some troubleshooting options but I can only think of a watch reset (which is a PITA). I would wait to see if someone else chips in with an easier workaround to get it working before going down the reset road
Me too. There is a similar thread on FR935 forum which is not surprising as they apparently share the same software.
Some people said resetting the activity data fields might help. Will try that as I don't want to do a full reset. I mostly use the strap anyway now that it's getting colder again.

Tried resetting, rebooting etc. with no help. Edit: Switched HR off because it's useless at the moment.
I am experiencing slightly different behavior with 5.30 on F5. Only when activity is started (observed on walk and hike) HR goes to 145 when real one is much lower and then goes down -1 each second till normal HR.
