Help Fenix 5X Stuck on Loading Maps

I connected my watch to my laptop to charge the battery a little, was just a battery top up before my afternoon walkies. It looks like Garmin Connect kicked in and has got stuck syncing and now my watch is stuck on the 'Loading Maps' screen.

How can I fix this ASAP, I want to go for my walkies?

Have you tried holding the light/power button for 30 seconds or so to restart watch?

madness, this bug hasn’t been fixed yet ... three years after the thread. Garmin??

yeah sure ... it’s a bug, those guys charge me tons of money for a felix 6 ... they should fix the bug! well known for years
