I think it is because it has connects to a new version of Connect IQ. Major changes in number sequences are often driven by new platforms (which matters from a developer perspective), rather than new features. Although the latter often follows the former.
Strange that F5 production FW is still at 4.10 and the beta is now at 5.09.
Also strange that the beta version jumped to 5.x without major new features.
Anyone know what's going on?
What's even more strange is that the version is now 5.10 on the downloads page but cannot be downloaded using Garmin Connect or any other way... (Probably will be fixed sometime soon but given that it was updated yesterday, it's weird that it cannot be downloaded)
5.10 doesn't need to be downloaded and copied over to the watch. It's production FW, so will come OTA or by way of Garmin Express. If the last digit is "0", that typically indicates production FW.

I am perfectly aware of all that. I know it's a production FW - That's why I've stated that I tried to download it using GARMIN EXPRESS and not download it manually.
What I was pointing out is that it's not available (Via Garmin Express / OTA using Wifi)
After the FW is done for ROW devices, it seems to take time to make the changes for APAC device. You likely don't see the betas for APAC devices either, correct?
If it's not available (yet) via Garmin Express nor OTA, you can always try Garmin WebUpdater which is almost always available immediately. I just checked and 5.10 wasn't available for me via Garmin Express or OTA but I was given the option to update on WebUpdater. And the nice thing about WebUpdater is you can also force a re-install of the current version or install other updates (such as language files).
