OK, it seems that the issue is not due to APAC (which I'm not part of). According to their official post, they are rolling it out in stages
"Starting last night with the fenix 5/5s we rolled out a new update process for production software versions. This new process is similar to mobile app update roll outs, where the update is released to a small number of users at first, and then rolled out to all users. The update will come wirelessly through Garmin Connect Mobile, Wi-Fi (on supported devices), or when syncing with Garmin Express.
Users on the latest device software version will get a "Delta update" through Garmin Connect Mobile or Wi-Fi. The Delta update file is much smaller and will download much quicker over the air. User that are not on the latest software version or those that use Garmin Express to update, will get the update file that you're used to.
If you are not part of the initial roll out, please be patient as the update will roll out to all users soon."
With the Garmin Express I can actually see that there is the new 5.10 update when searching for a new software, but when I connect my fenix 5 it says it is up to date (4.10).
If it's not available (yet) via Garmin Express nor OTA, you can always try Garmin WebUpdater which is almost always available immediately. I just checked and 5.10 wasn't available for me via Garmin Express or OTA but I was given the option to update on WebUpdater. And the nice thing about WebUpdater is you can also force a re-install of the current version or install other updates (such as language files).
Yes. Webupdater will often find new firmware before it's visible in Express, as here, and it can also reinstall your current version for you, which Express can't. This has been very handy for some users in the past with watches which weren't behaving properly.
I updated to 5.10 using Garmin Express. The watch System settings now says 5.10 but Garmin Express continues to say it is on 4.10, although no updates are now available. Anyone else had this?
