5X Owners Please Post your Wrist Size and Pics!

I have an F3. My wrist size is 6 3/4" until I open my hand all the way and it swells to about 7". Athletic forearms. I think the F3 looks good, but I'm torn between the 5 and 5X. I would like to like the F5X in order to use the quick fit bands on my F3, maybe as a "beater" if I keep it.

I have puny little 6 inch wrists :)

So the watch is big on me.... but I like it.

I also have a Forerunner 935 which is what I would consider to the "correct" size for my wrist (the 935 is about the same size, but a little flatter, than the Fenix 5) but I actually like the over-sized look of the 5X on my wrist.

Looks about like mine--good. I think wrist shape makes a difference too--same wrist circumference but "flatter" vs "square" makes it wear better.

Surely this is a matter of personal preference/taste rather than what other people like. Surely nobody else's wrist matters. It's all about your own. I'd recommend trying the 5 and 5x if you have time. The 5x really isn't as big as people make it out to be.

I don't know the size of my wrist, but is small.
Having both a F3 and a F5X, if your F3 fits confortable, F5X will fit confortable too. I don't feel that F5X is bigger.

If navigation is something important : F5X.
If navigation is NOT important : F5.

I just felt that F5X is heavier in a 20k trail run race that I did last weekend. I never noticed that with F3.

I love follow tracks. Overall I would choose the F5X again!!!!

Thanks. If the 5X were available locally for me to try I would not have asked for pics and wrist sizes. I have the F3, which I know is close. The F5X is thicker and heavier. Really looking for people's impressions accompanied by pics.

For what it's worth, I came from the F3 to the 5x and there is no discernible difference in size/weight/feel/appearance on my wrist

There is no real discernable difference between the 5X and the 3 impo.
The 5X is 13g heavier and 1.5mm thicker. It's not as 'chunky' or 'heavy' as is sounds or seems. I notice no real difference between my 3(HR) and the 5X whilst running, hiking, climbing, swimming or walking.
Weight is dependant on your choice of strap (e.g if you have a 3 with the metal band, the weight is almost identical to a 5X with a silicon band etc).
Size and fit are dependant on your own personal wrist shape and size.
For example, if you have small 'square' wrists the fit will differ from small 'round' wrists etc.
Some people prefer large, chunky watches and some don't - hence my assertion that the size and fit are subjective.
Perhaps if it's an option for you, order the 5 and the 5X then see which one suits your personal preferences and return the other. Hope that helps.

I'd ordered myself a metal band (also have a leather on order) and it came today.

I had to remove a full 7 links from it to get it to fit lol; leaving just 1 link left that can "officially" be removed. That's on my 6 inch wrists.

Little tweak then to the clasp position and it fits like a dream but for anyone with smaller wrists like me considering getting the metal band just be aware that you will have to remove about £60 worth of links out of the £160 rrp band.
