  • Fixed a potential issue, where ‘Music Controls’ would intermittently lose connection with the smartphone.
  • Fixed an issue, where the device could crash when attempting navigation to a nearby location with all GPS enabled profiles disabled.
  • Fixed an issue, where the watch would incorrectly report that GPS signal was lost, while using UltraTrac.

is it possible to update Beta ver. 96 for stable 2.90?

    I've got a stable ver.2.90 on my F5X.

Is it possible to run Beta update for this version? (2.90 ----> 2.96 Beta)
    OR
Should I change my current version up to 2.95 and after that to start Beta update to 2.96?

    Please explain.

Direct update 2.90 to 2.96 beta is OK. No need to to load .95 beta first.

    Thanks for a quick reply!

Could you tell me where is a special page with a complete list of stable updates history?

Going to eat my words a bit here and post about the watch face issue (I said I wouldn't post about this again) but I had a reply from one of the ConnectIQ SDK team via a PM.

"The problems you mention with the fenix 5X are related to a known issue--the fenix 5X is different from a hardware perspective compared to the 5 and 5S, which is at the core of these problems. It's not a hardware problem, so there's no worry about faulty hardware. Instead, the 5X has some additional processing power that we've tried to use in a novel way, and it's not working out as well we'd planned. I've had a couple of other individuals contact me this week about these same issues, and in fact, we just discussed this yesterday in a weekly team meeting we have to review the latest reported issues. At this point, there are still decisions being made about this, but once the device team determines the approach they intend to take, we should be able to get these problems fixed pretty quickly. "

So I will stop worrying about it and wait for them to sort it.

Not sure if it just luck at the moment, but this build seems to have closed the gap between my F5X and my Tomtom unit in terms of GPS. The plot is still wobbly, but my splits are now nearly perfectly in line. Overall distance was always close, but the splits were a bit out previously.

How does the watch cope in swimming mode + Tri/Swim with the recovery heart rate?
Does it actually work considering the HR transfer is delayed to post-saving of the log as opposed to normal OHR/Run?

    Has anyone checked?

I'm sorry I don't quite understand the question here. However the HRM-tri works effectively as HRM-run outside of water. For swim training the recording is done with the belt to the memory, but it is possible to check the instantaneous heart rate when you bring the watch close to the belt even during swim mode. So if your rest is based on lowering HR to certain level you can do that. If under water the watch needs to be within 2 inches/5cm roughly from the belt. If you stand at the end of the pool belt above water then all that is needed is to have the watch above water too and you can see the current heart rate.

For 24x7 HR graph the recorded heart rate does not apply, so this widget will have a hole in the data for the duration of the swim. I hope I managed to at least partly answer the question.

The question is: why I have 2000m logged WITHOUT recovery HR and then, the second log I have 500m logged WITH recovery HR.
In neither case the recovery HR was displayed on the watch but I clearly remember standing idle out of the water to have it show at the end of the second log.

So... there has to be a bug here: in the first case the recovery wasn't recorded and I'd like to know why. In the second case it was recorded but not displayed on the watch (and I also would like to know why).

My bad, I think now it's more easily understandable Fryex. I am talking about the RECOVERY HEART RATE.

Still do not fully understand. I believe you mean the recovery heart rate popup that is displayed once HR goes down to Z1. But in any of my swims I do have the full HR graph with HR data also from rests. So there should be no issue recording those. I may or may not see the Recovery HR pop-up. I usually just have the rests on timer. If I still did not understand or answer your question, can you share a log to show the issue?

RecHR is calculated when you STOP the log and before you save it.
What you see is NOT the rest data page but the timing of the log and the option to save-discard.

What I'm saying happens with ALL activity types but it never happened with Pool Swimming. Now... I have logs with and logs without the recHR and I don't understand why because that vibration and popup never shows up (in pool swimming).

I'm gonna hook the HRM Swim now and do a mock log and see if I can get it displayed. I think this has to do with the software.
