Altimeter stuck

Whether moving up, down, staying still, my altimeter is stuck at 111 mtrs. I have tried powering down the watch, but it never changes. Is this a firmware issue, or could I have a problem with the watch? When I first got it, the altimeter was changing constantly.

I did 3 x GPS altimeter calibrations last night and it now seems to be changing. I am going for a run soon, so should see if this has fixed the issue. Not sure why it was working previously and got stuck. I do recall previously doing a calibration, but then not completing the process (ie. I started to do a GPS calibration, then cancelled it), so it may have caused the altimeter to hang.
  • Hi,

    Has it solved the problem?

Mine is stuck at 20,000 meters and doesn’t store manual calibration.

    Barometer is working fine.

    tks

  • I am sorry you have an issue. If your altimeter calibration either fails or your altimeter reading is extremely high or low despite being able to calibrate it, your altimeter has failed and your watch will need to be exchanged if possible. Be sure to check the altimeter port on the right side of your watch doesn't have anything in it. You can also soak your watch in luke warm water (with nothing added to the water) for 5-10 minutes. Your statement of 20,000m strongly suggests your barometric altimeter has hardware failed.
