Not possible. It is possible however tot record the GPS-track and show the distance from the Stryd in a datafield

As a workaround, one can record GPS distance on the watch, and Styrd distance on the Stryd IOs app. I don't think you'd even need to carry your phone while running, as the stryd will cache it's data and allow transfer to the phone later.
  • My personal experience with the Garmin footpod is that I can calibrate it to work well for me when I'm running fast, or when I'm doing LSRs, but not both, because my gait changes too much. But fellrnr reckons it's 99.7% accurate, presumably over a range of paces.

Based on few weeks of Stryd use I would not pay 2$ for the Garmin pod. The difference in accuracy is that great. My only problem is that I did not buy Stryd sooner. So in this particular case I can fully agree with the fellrnr review on Stryd.
  • Thanks! How sensitive is it to mounting? I mostly use elastic laces and am concerned it would bounce around too much to be accurate.
  • Can stryd distance data be used in place of garmin's distance data in the various activity screen configurations? For example, if I have a display set to show lap distance, lap pace, and cadence, can stryd's distance be displayed?

I have not seen any issues with the device. I have it mounted on my shoes so that it is connected to two pairs of crossing laces and the bottom single one. Seems to be very stable on standard laces or elastics.

Checked with Stryd and you can use Stryd's distance and pace in place of garmin's throughout the activity screens. Ordered one to try it out.
  • Anyone find a discount

Anyone find a discount code or method to get at least a little off the full price of the stryd?

The most important thing about the F5 review is yet to come.
I'm waiting for Fellnrn to update the picture with his views on the trueness/accuracy values and see where he places the F5 when compared to the F3.

So far, in the usual extremely difficult spot, I have seen a distinct improvement in the 30' static tests (about 10 so far). It's more or less 60% less distance accrued but the error margin has also improved by somewhat the same factor (of course... the 2 are connected). I don't know about the regular F5 but that's what happens here with the F5X.

(dang, got to update the signature, lol)
  • Sent you a PM

Seems I am unable to use PM, well I get them but cannot send them.

Can you fling me your e-mail in a PM?
