Bugs in FW 2.40?

It is the 2nd time this behaviour happens so I ought to report it to check if other as well...

I have F5 sapphire just in case it matters. I press down, check the oHR than press up for the watch and get a quick restart/reboot (not sure exactly) with the green triangle on the screen. If I go again to see the oHR, again the restart. If I let the watch in the clock mode than later it works ok. Also the oHR history of the last 4 hours is gone.

It happen to me 2 times in three days.
  • This is the second time I am getting this behaviour: I have a spin bike with power meter, cadence and speed sensors all ANT+. I also attached a HRM ANT+. As you can see in my workout below, at some stage towards the end of the workout, Power and cadence are loosing connection in the same time, so it looks like this is a Fenix 5 issue.

    Who knows at which email I can send this to investigate from Garmin?

    During activity

    Have you tried changing "while in activity" setting

    settings>system>backlight>during activity>gesture=ON

    For me, I have a few bugs in the F5 to report.

    First is the Wrist Turn.

    Bugs that happened in my Fenix 5 is as follows:

    I set as below:

    Settings > System > Backlight

    Alert = ON
    Gesture = ON
    Timeout = 30 seconds

    With the above settings, the backlight will turn ON whenever I turn my wrist.

    However, when I am on RUN activity (or any activity for that matter), the backlight will not turn on when I turn my wrist.
  • Have you tried changing "while in activity" setting

    settings>system>backlight>during activity>gesture=ON

    I can tell you that it works, until you sync again and you lose that settings again...

    Interesting and likely rare Music Controls bug

    I was controlling Sonos with the F5 the other day and was very pleasantly surprised to see the watch displaying Artist/Song/Timer info. That was so cool!

    So I went to take a picture of it with my iphone and send it to my wife. As soon as I opened the Camera app, the info on the watch display disappeared. As soon as I closed the Camera app, the music info all came back. I thought it was a Garmin Connect issue so I brought that app to the foreground. Then I switched between various other apps, and the Song info persisted. It was only when I went into the Camera app that it disappeared.

    How did you setup the Sonos to work with the watch?
  • I believe it works withever was the last music app used on the paired phone. If you were using the sonos app then the watch controls the app.

    Correct! As you stated, Chunky, Sonos being the last-launched app becomes the app controlled by the watch, too.
