Bugs in FW 2.40?

It is the 2nd time this behaviour happens so I ought to report it to check if other as well...

I have F5 sapphire just in case it matters. I press down, check the oHR than press up for the watch and get a quick restart/reboot (not sure exactly) with the green triangle on the screen. If I go again to see the oHR, again the restart. If I let the watch in the clock mode than later it works ok. Also the oHR history of the last 4 hours is gone.

It happen to me 2 times in three days.

    Wrist Turn doesn't always work

    For me, I have a few bugs in the F5 to report.

    First is the Wrist Turn.

    Bugs that happened in my Fenix 5 is as follows:

    I set as below:

    Settings > System > Backlight

    Alert = ON
    Gesture = ON
    Timeout = 30 seconds

    With the above settings, the backlight will turn ON whenever I turn my wrist.

    However, when I am on RUN activity (or any activity for that matter), the backlight will not turn on when I turn my wrist.

    Bugs on Audio Prompt

    2nd bugs I would like to report is the Audio ON.

    This bugs is intermittent, sometimes it happened but sometimes it didn't.

    I set the watch to:

    Settings > Systems > Sound

    Alert = ON
    Vibration = ON

    On the Garmin Connect Mobile

    Device Settings > Audio Prompt = ON

    Heart Rate Alerts = ON

    Alert Frequency = 3 mins

    Sometimes the Audio is turned ON on the iPhone but sometimes it is totally silent

    Floors Climbed not counting

    The 3rd bugs that I would like to report is the Floors Climbed" counter.

    Mine stucked at 1 despite me climbing 21 floors of stairs this morning.

    Not sure why but it suddenly stopped counting

    Watchface Data

    The 4th bugs that I would like to report is the data on the left circle of this watchface (shown in this image as Baro pointing to the right)

    http://assets.hardwarezone.com/img/2017/03/P3100022.jpg

    I changed the Baro settings to Distance Travelled, it worked for a few days then it stopped counting.

    I reboot and changed it to keep track of "floors climbed". It worked for a few days then it stopped counting again. Now mine is stucked at 1 floor ...

    You know that there's a separate setting for how the backlight works during activities, right?

    No I do not know. Maybe you can help solve my problem.

    I only know that there are settings for each type of activities but not the backlight option.

    For example, for my RUN activity, I set to

    Settings > Activities & Apps > Run > Run Settings >

    Alerts > Heart Rate where I set the Low Alert and High Alert.

    I didn't see any backlight option there.

    But under
    Settings > System > Backlight

    Alert = ON
    Gesture = ON

    Under Timeout instead of setting to 30 seconds, there is also on option to select to "No timeout during activity" which will make the F5 to be ON throughout the running activity (which is not what I wanted).

    I only wanted the backlight to be ON for 30 seconds when I do a wrist turn during my run.

    So, can I know where is the separate setting for how the backlight works during activities ?

    Thanks

    Go to Settings > System > Backlight

    You should now see 2 options: During Activity and Watch Mode.

    But as you don't appear to have those options, are you sure you've actually updated to 2.40 (which this thread is about)?

    Hi NeilJonesOnline,

    Now the problem is getting clearer.

    I am in Asia. Over here in Asia, I was told by Garmin Singapore that the latest version in Ver 2.3 and the Ver 2.4 is for Europe. I assumed that the Ver 2.4 in Europe is the same as Asia's Ver 2.3. So apparently it is not because under:

    Settings > System > Backlight,

    I do not see the 2 options for During Activity and Watch Mode

    Thanks for the info as apparently this bug was rectified in Europe but not in Asia.

    Hope this comes to Asia soon.

    Cheers ...

    That would make sense - hope you get the feature soon!

    Thanks NeilJonesOnline,

    On another note, can I also assumed the other 3 bugs that I highlighted above are also taken care of in Ver 2.4 ? I really hope so ...

    Thanks
