Contact dermatitis with Fenix 5s+

I've been wearing my Fenix s5+ for over 2 years. Suddenly I'm experiencing contact dermatitis. It took me a while to identify it. My wrist kept itching near the buckle. I ignored it. On close examination when I removed it there were red welts that itched. I switched to the nylon band and it stopped. But under the watch I noticed it was bothering me after wearing for 2 days. There were huge welts under the watch. So I cleaned the back of the watch completely and put it on my right wrist. Within a few hours I noticed a slight itch, so I took it off. I don't sweat excessively so that shouldn't be an issue. If I put clear finger nail polish on the back, could that help? Will it effect the monitoring of the HR?
