Maps not updating

I am trying to update my Fenix 5X Plus today and got an error that my device does not have enough memory to update maps any longer.

I have removed all apps, data field, widgets, watch faces and music and still not able to update.

Any ideas how to resolve?

I am sorry there have been issues updating your maps. Depending on how much you deleted off your watch, you may have accidentally ruined it. Not all .IMG files will get replaced by Garmin Express.

I figured it out. Deleted all .img files in this directory PC\fenix 5X Plus\Primary\GARMIN and reran the updates.

Nope, i thought it was updating, but then got the same error message.

Resetting the watch to see if that will fix it.

Hard reset and works as expected now. But, a user should not be expected to do this.

After reading your post, I checked in Garmin Express. I got an update of the coverage maps and everything worked without any issues. Topo Maps are still on 2021-10/11.
