Marine chart map update

Is there a plan to update marine maps to 5X plus? I was kayaking and the maps were pretty old.

Half the map, it was showing me on shore when I was in the middle of the river.

Or, how can I remove the map and replace it with something else?

AFAIK there are no marine maps bundled with the 5X series. So you probably bought the map at one point and never updated it?

Which map are you talking about? If you have purchased this map as a download version from Garmin, as far as I know, these maps can only be updated by purchasing a newer version of this map (if an map update is available).

I guess its the genetic topo maps. Google apps and other have a proper path in the center of the river and Garmin if way offset.

Ok, thanks. And other maps (google etc) are displaying your activity/track in a correct way? Which map is enabled in your used app?

As you can see, google maps integrated in apps are displaying proper path... So I guess, Garmin never updated their maps like they said. Same position,

Its all the one updated from Garminnexpress when I got my watch. Only map I added was Peru whe I was supposed to go before covid...
