Fenix 5 Plus Version 9.00 Live Battery Issues

2-3% per hour on the new 9.0 version in smartwatch mode

NO additional watchfaces
NO workouts
NO music

Bad result for the last update =(

    Brought mine to the customer center here in Singapore, today. They will do the testing and get back to me in a couple of days.

    Let's see if they can fix it or solve the problem somehow for me on different ways. That would be at least another way to rescue the image of the company and not to behave according to "I have the money, I don't care attitude"

  • Wish you good luck, hope they can help. As i currently live in Thailand, i got a « offer» from Garmin Thailand, 250$ US and a timeframe of 60 days. Now after i posted all this on the forum , they have started contact me from Garmin Taiwan. Last mail from them contained a voucher or something to send the watch to Taiwan for check. Think i pass , this *** Garmin have started with ver.9.00 , and they must come up with ha solution. That watch drop’ed from 0,38-0,45%/ hour  to 44-48%/24 hour with that update.

    been there. got the watch back with new battery and new calibrated sensors. battery drain stayed the same.

    Too bad to hear....  don't they do the testing before returning it to the customer? 

    At least you can exclude it's the hardware.

    or they didn't really change the battery. just resetted the watch and hoped that everything is good.

    sent in my watch the second time. This time I got it replaced to a new / meybe refurbished, can't tell device. I hope that solved the issue now.

    So how is it? Still waiting for mine to be come back. SG service sends them also to TW.

    problem solved.. 34 hours after first full charge stlil 66 %.. inclusive GPS use for 1 or more hours yesterday.

  • On FW 10 the problem increment Disappointed

    I have reset the watch and uninstall and install Garmin connect on my Huawei P20Pro and now i have a normal battery live: 0-3-0.4 percent per hour

    In my case they replaced the battery apparently. SN didn’t change. Anyway problem is solved. Battery usage is around 0.3 - 0.4 % so far on a „virgin“ watch (no music, no apps). 
    happy so far.
