I fully understand your feelings. I had the same with other issues. Contact the Garmin support and insist that they should change the device.
That company become more and more a joke. Where do they find all the super programmer’s. At Boing ?
Of course you do. Me too. We payed a lot of money for a watch which isn't doing what they promised. Nothing more disappointing like Garmin. And they don't care. They got their money.

I'm sick of all those experiments. Sent the watch to Garmin today.. They should change the battery or all the watch. I don't care.

Same problem here battery life shortned by a couple of days used to charge it every week or so, now it's every 3 day's and after a workout every 48 hrs! Very annoying!
Versión v9.10 doesn't fix the problem
I've been on 9.10 for around 24 hours. Still no problem with battery life. Android user here, faultless syncing, so maybe that's it.
Batterylife 2 days, android here too. Started with the ver 9.00
I got my device back from Garmin. they said they changed the battery and calibrated the sensors. Same day I got the device back I received the 9.10 update. I've got a fenix 5 plus with new battery and 9.10 firmware now. Battery drain is the same.
Maybe my Android phone (oneplus 6t) is causing the battery drain? or garmin didn't change the battery as they claimed and did only a factory reset or so.
Try running your watch 24h (or better 48h) without bluetooth connection to your smartphone and compare battery drain
Two weeks further on 9.10 and my 5X+ is still losing just 6% per 24 hours, including at least 1 hour of indoor training per day on average. My phone is a Galaxy S10+.
that has been my idea as well. Today I'm trying without wrist heart rate.. doesnt help a lot.. still between 2.7 and 2.9 % battery drain per hour.. next charging cycle will be then without bluetooth connection.
