Course Navigation - No Waypoints?

This should hopefully be a simple issue to solve, but when loading a GC created course on the 5+, I'm not seeing any of the waypoint data that was added to the route within GC. This obviously makes it a little hard to navigate to camp sites and water sources along the way.

Am I missing an obvious setting that I haven't been able to find in the docs, or is the way simply unable to render the waypoint data?

I also found out using https://eur.inreach.garmin.com/ and the Garmin Explore app did the same! I wondered about your terminology - but hey if it works!

GE doesn't snap to trails like GC does, plus you're building your course, turn by turn on a small screen. This can be horrendously tedious if you're trying to plot out a winding course of a decent length…

GE doesn't snap to trails like GC does, plus you're building your course, turn by turn on a small screen. This can be horrendously tedious if you're trying to plot out a winding course of a decent length. With GC, it only takes a couple of clicks and you've just marked out a 100km through hike.

Another option is not to create the course at all, but rather mark down the waypoints and then allow the watch to build the route to the next waypoint when you're on the trail. The disadvantage here is that you're not easily able to see how much of the total distance you have left, particularly if you're not taking the shortest possible route to your final destination.
