Exact same here
Just postet this in another topic. Might want to check if that's what's causing your problems:
I had a similar problem. During the latest map update (Europe) one of the old maps wasn't deleted…
Hi
For Europe topo, how many files have you deleted? And Is there a way to reset the watch to factory setting I mean the watch will be the same when I first got it, the same version the same settings,…
How did your filenames look like? I have some D6185060B.* and D6185050A.* files (*.img, *.unl, *.gma). Do you think these could cause problems?
Do you use European Topo? This might be the problem.
Thank you, I will check this evening
I just deleted these files (after a backup copy), and they seem to have been my Euro topo maps, as in my region, no details were shown anymore, and the maps were loading super fast.
So I triggered a re-install in Garmin Express now, currently the watch is loading the maps (taking super long).
I had to delete one file (old TopoEurope southWest if I remember correctly).
Yes, something like that. I also accidentaly deleted one of the two new maps when deleting those, but after reinstalling them they were both there again and the problem was solved for me. Please let us know if it worked for you too. Fingers crossed!
I performed several Hard Resets (button press sequence). But none changed anything regarding the map files on the watch and the problems that came with them.
I have deleted all *.img files from Garmin Directory after backup. Re-install the maps using the Express. It works very well on both 5+ and Expedition. Thank you again...
Hi is there an answer to this problem?
