Fenix 5X Plus slow loading maps

Exact same here

Reinstalling the last updated maps through Express did nothing. Could we get an official response on the issue? I don't think 2+ minutes to start up the watch should be standard behaviour.

I have Fenix 5 Plus and Marq Expedition, since last month I have the same problems on both devices.

Exact the same here - MARQ Expedition works normal !

The same with my Fenix 5x plus. "Loading maps" phase on first boot is 2+ min .

Same here since last update plus switching to the maps screen during activities takes about one minute before maps are displayed.

Which version do you have on Marq? I have 3.50 and map zoom in/out very slow. I have already reset the watch twice and reinstalled the maps but no success. Both my watches are not usable concerning map features... what a pity and waste of money.

I had a similar problem. During the latest map update (Europe) one of the old maps wasn't deleted which left me with only 2 GB of free space and rendered maps and navigation useless, because they got very slow and unresponsive. I solved this by manually deleting the old and reinstalling the new maps. The old ones had weird names and I could only identify them by looking at the file size. Be sure to backup all the map files in case you want to try.

For Europe topo, how many files have you deleted? And Is there a way to reset the watch to factory setting I mean the watch will be the same when I first got it, the same version the same settings, the same maps, etc..
