Everyone, we are wanting to look into these reports of battery drain after 7.10 software updates. If you are experiencing this, and are on software 7.10, could you please contact Product Support via Chat…
doesn't matter, because before 7.10 everything was OK.
This is 7.10 firmware fault.
I looking for help buth what will you help here? watch in daily use lost 35% for 24 hours. it was weak with a battery, but never quite like that. And this is how it has been since I have 7.10
Oops. It's a 5+...stupid joint forum!
Oh, indeed, gps mode falls short. Complain to your retailer. I'm on my 3rd plus now, drain now as advertised.
I have Fenix 5x Plus with 7.10 firmware, BT always ON, notifications, HR, ... using custom watch face (my own - HandsFive) and have long term average battery consumption about 0.3% per hour (almost 14 days on one recharge!). Having 3 activities per week with GPS and music it is a bit less of course, but I never needed to recharge within next 7 days.

Garmin developers, can you PLEASE explain to us, why you don't simply take your own time and investigate the watches you got returned from your customers that suffer battery drain by yourself? Beeing a developer myself, what i experience with Garmin and especially the software development is simply incredible. Introducing new bugs while trying to fix other bugs in every release is a screaming evidence of a system design mess or simply lack of competence.
Heath, I don't think many people will see your request.
With this new forum structure, new posts in an existing discussion will drown, and the forum users will only stumble over them by accident. Even sorting by "new" will not always reveal all unread posts.
I assume this was Garmin's intention, though I can't figure out what Garmin's motivation was. It will quite effectively kill any interesting threads because they will be impossible to keep track off when they grow beyond a few posts.
Totally agree.
Seems this decision reflects the quixotic way they are thinking aswell.
