Does anyone know if there is a minimum free space requirement for the Topo Active 2018.20 update to be shown in Garmin Express? I have approx. 6.4 GB free space and I don‘t see the update at all.
I had the same thought so I googled and I found a size of 5.2GB, I removed all my music and extra maps leaving plenty of space. However the map update still does not show for me :(
I have 6.2GB of free memory and the update doesn't show. I don't think Garmin Express will show updates based on free space, it doesn't do so for PND's.
How much free space do you have left on your watch after the update? :) last night i got the update and before the update i had 7.7gb free after 3.7gb. and is topoactive europe west 2017.30 still on your watch? :)
Available space didn't change much. But I also cleaned up the files myself. Before the update, I had used the "Reinstall map" feature of Garmin Express and it deleted the gmapprom1.img and reinstalled it as d6184030a.img. Both together (gmapprom.img + d61...img) came up as 6.1GB.
After the update, there were the gmapprom.img and a file d6185050a.img - both a bit under 6.1GB.
Sorry to hijack this thread, but has anyone has comparison between this 2018.20 topoactive and some other osm topo maps? Are garmin topoactive 2018-20 routeable? (road and trail)?
