Hi all, sorry if this is a bit off topic but I just bought a garmin fenix 5plus watch (had it for 3 weeks now). I go to the gym regularly and have been trying to record my activity - not as a 'gym workout', but just looking to simply record my heart rate during the workout. I use the simple 'activity tracker' which just records HR and no other data/metrics. My workouts are sporadic and usually involve many compound (full body exercises). I am finding the heart rate monitor is completely off and usually shows a HR under what you would expect while performing an anaerobic exercise at high intensity.
The HR usually shows accurate readings during my other activities like cycling/running. I am wondering if there are any suggestions to correct this?
