OCD kicks in, scratch on bezel. Any tips?

Garmin should start incorporating the DLC treatment that’s used on the TC. Scratches are inevitable but easier to hide with a DLC treatment.

Never heard of these, do they work for watches? A quick search on Amazon and a load of gun stuff appears :)

I'm still rocking the F3 Sapphire and have learned to embrace the bezel imperfections, of which there are several. Just this morning I recommended to a friend looking at Garmins to consider the sapphire option.

If you're intent on reducing the visibility of the dings/scratches, try masking off your actual watch face lens (thick tape of some kind) and use a very light steel wool (double ought) to buff the metal. This may take the finish off the bezel, so consider the risk/benefit before attempting!

The trouble is, you either get a poor bezel that scratches easy and sapphire glass. or better less scratch resistant silver bezel with mineral glass. sure you can get the DLC ones with a glass coating, but this deteriorates in time. also sapphire glass is darker and less transparent then mineral glass, so the mineral glass will look brighter and cleaner. I have watches with mineral glass glass and no scratching issues. I even wear a withings steel sport hr to work, mineral glass and no scratches. seems people are so obsessed about scratches, and its like buying a new car and leaving it wrapped in bubble wrap so you wont scratch it. unless your really hard on the watch, I dont think the difference in price is worth buying the sapphire edition. Its certainly darker glass and less transparent. these watches are only made to last 5-6 years, so what's the point of keeping them like new with a short lifespan. in 5 or 6 years the next fenix will be miles better and even many here upgrade often.

I just dont think the sapphire extra cost is worth it, has the worst bezel, whereas I think the sliver bezel looks miles better. And the bezel is better as the scratches are far less obvious

The Sapphire Titanium is another good bet. If you scratch it, you can polish them out easily with a titanium pad (bought from ebay or Amazon)

Just buy another one everytime you get a scratch (and send me the scratched one).
