Hello Fenix 5x Plus users,

We have new beta software ready for your upcoming adventures!

Fenix 5X Plus: https://www8.garmin.com/support/down...s.jsp?id=14335

Note: Please allow for the updates to propagate across all servers. There is no need to post that the link does not work. It will after a bit of patience.

6.51 Change Log Notes:
  • Fixed an issue where the device was reporting extremely high values for Bike powermeter.

Please note, the beta updates released on these forums are not suitable for APAC region devices.

Please send all bug reports to "][email protected], and indicate which model of the fenix 5 Plus series you have in the subject line.
  • oh!...ok, thank you...make sense!
but...the middle of the "declared sleep" not the actual sleep interval...
as it is not yet AI to foresee your behaviour...;)
    this explains why I have
1:30 - 5:30 all the time (even I go to bed at 03:00...)
    and others 00:00 - 04:00....

    have a nice day!
    robert

I noticed that after a week of Sleep Pulse OX data, the time that track while sleeping has expanded to cover the average time that I am in bed.
    Does anybody else notice this?ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1446482.png
  • Are we on our way to a new record for the age of a current beta from Garmin?

This beta was released 34 days ago and is still the newest version.

Of course, since this also seems to be the most problem-free beta or official version I have seen from Garmin, it is probably a good thing that it is allowed to stay for some time.

No not the longest beta - but the beta with the least incremental updates that have not been pushed to users.

For us 5 Plus APAC owners it is equal to Garmin "standing up and taking a p*s" in our general direction" as we are still stuck on v5.10 if we use power meters.

The v6.00 build has been pushed to APAC units - but then you get the Power Meter spikes. So for APAC users there are minimum 3 weeks+ until we have the current beta.

Apart from that I think it is the LONGEST Garmin has taken not sending out ANY updates even incremental beta updates. So either they are working on Fenix 6 - or they consider their software on F5 done and will roll out 6.6 release next Friday and call it done.

I'm very close to changing to use my Apple Watch as primary.

Yes, I'm also seeing this, starting Tueday.

    hi,

    MWBZ and DenethorLenwion

can you guys link this new behavior to something?
last week I was in vacation.
today I saw the 3.30 ANT/BLE/BT upgrade and I did it today.
    maybe is related to this?

and one more question...do you have Pulse OX Acclimation all day activated?

    thank you,
    robert

  • Hi Robert
Yes, I do have Acclimation All day & Sleep Pulse Ox ON
I am still in 6.00.00, I got the 3rd watch after 4 weeks of frustration because the first 2 had hardware failure, therefore I did not want to install beta FW since everything was working since day one...

Only to some fix/update they have done on the server. I didn't change the FW (still on 6.0), didn't receive any updates, didn't change any settings (All day and Sleep Pulse Ox are both ON).

I did notice that the Connect Mobile app for Android was also upgraded a couple of times recently. I wonder if that might have something to do with it?

    hi,

thank you all for the replies!
I've activated the pulse OX 24h also.

yep...saw the mobile Connect (mine on IOS) upgraded yesterday, and Pulse Ox sleep on mobile is available.

on mobile are the same 4 hours still...

on desktop yes, at the first look seems good...but
the same 4h seems to be from Pulse Ox Sleep ...at 1min interval
the rest is (supposedly) from Pulse Ox 24h...and are at 5min

    just me,
    robert

the rest is (supposedly) from Pulse Ox 24h...and are at 5min - yes it is!

with PulseOx Acc 24h deactivated, I have only the 4h given by PulseOx sleep.

    have a good one!

  • Dear Garmin,

please - it has now been almost 6 weeks since you created this beta to fix ONE single bug.

So we are quite a few APAC users who are stuck on v5.1 waiting for 6.51 to release so we can upgrade from 5.1 and use our power meters. If we upgrade to v6.00 we will get power spikes on Bikes and Stryd and other power meters.

So please - it should not be this hard to funnel the release of a "beta" with ONE SINGLE bugfix/update.

I'm honestly surprised it has not rolled out within a short beta time (2 weeks) as it is only a bugfix and not a feature enhancement.

Please again from a very disappointed Garmin APAC device owner.
