"Added support for the Spotify Connect IQ Music App"

Yeah, superb GARMIN! ... that's all your customers were waiting for...
AGAIN NO BUGFIXES AT ALL??? WTF!!!!
• I run with Jabra 65T and don't have any dropouts. Watch on my left wrist. I just make sure that the watch is not covered by shirt/jacket sleeve (on cold days) as some tech-wear seems to interfere with BT/GPS

I also don't have any major problems with 5.10 firmware. Battery life seems ok (around 8% / day with no activity), no BT dropouts on iPhone connection (which I experienced on earlier firmware), no problem with run dynamics and the GPS accuracy is... as always :p
• I've been using Jaybird Run headphones and the drop outs have gotten much better over the last few firmware releases. The main bud is on the right and I wear the watch on the left. If I could stand wearing the watch on the right, I'd probably never get a drop out, but i can't stand that.

With the most recent firmware, i get occasional drops when i run under a power line or something, but otherwise the connection is great.
• Battery life seems slightly worse with 5.1. I just downloaded this evening. Previously, with stock watch face I was losing 0.5-0.8% per hour (compared to 1.2% with CIQ watchface). Since the download I’m now losing 1.2% with stock watch face! I can’t believe this is getting worse....

I agree battery life seems worse but after some time, it seems to have settled for me.
• If only i could wear on my left wrist without dropouts! Music was one of the key reasons I upgraded and it’s useless. I’m taking a phone or Nano with me on all my runs.

I use a $20 QCY (https://www.gearbest.com/sports-fitness-headphones/pp_368033.html?wid=1433363) apt-x enabled headphones with no issue at all.
• That's disappointing to me. I'm using the Bose SoundSports and HRM too and I get pretty frequent drops. Maybe Garmin just hates me.

What kind of terrain? Suburbs? Trail?

Open sea front, busy park, suburbs, trails. All of those. No drop outs.
• FWIW, I am using Senso BT earphones without any regular drops (5x plus). I have been using these headphones since July and they have been pretty consistent. I mostly use music while riding my bike with the watch mounted to handlebars. I also notice that I can be quite a ways (10 to 20 feet) away from the watch without it dropping. Sometimes my phone will effect the BT connection to my headphones, depending on what it is doing. If I unlock the phone, there is temporary interference/drop to headphones. This also happens when just scrolling through some stuff on the phone.

I wonder why your 65T works well and mine doesn’t. I don’t think dropouts when watch is on left wrist would be well received as an exchange reason!

Mine does fine on the left wrist when biking, just not running - so it’s a small margin of error.

I guess fingers crossed they eventually strengthen the signal strength or something. I’d love for Garmin to comment on if that’s likely or unlikely.

Ive put the question to Jabra if this is on spec or not, and explained that I know someone else who doesn’t have dropouts - and asked what they think. I know mine was really early production as I bought right away, but I don’t think that will make a difference. Yours are the active, correct? Mine are the base but that shouldn’t make a difference.

Cheers
• Well this is awkward, I just sent you a private message a few hours ago Forerunner asking if you were willing to work with me directly and asking where you live so I can try to get my hands on your device directly so I can test your watch on some of the issues you are reporting in all the threads you are heavily active in. So if you do not want to work with me directly, I fully understand but that offer still stands.

Everyone else. Thank all of you for all your honest comments in the forums. Trust me, we at Garmin are actively reading the forums and honestly, all of your comments matter to all of us here. Personally, I have enjoyed it so much that I am trying to take a more active role here and trying to interact with all of you the most that I can but I'm trying to still get a good rhythm to be able to still test everyone that is here and to be able to also comment in every thread that I personally can help out the most. Could I personally do better at it? Yes, we all have that trait of trying to push ourselves in life no matter if it is your current workout, to the next race and even when it comes to working. Due to that fact, that is why I want to be here more for you and be more active for all of you. So I'm sorry for that, and also I'm sorry for the bugs that you might be found on your devices. Just know that we at Garmin are here because of all of you, and even though we are not commenting, we sure are listening to your comments. If you think we should do more, let me know. Send me a private message on here, yell out to me or just reach out to our beta team since they know how to get a hold of me. If you do want to help make your product better, then contact our Garmin Support when you see an issue or work with the beta teams to test new software "][email protected].

To address some of the comments I saw in just this thread:

bjornhellstrom Thank you for your comments, I honestly came in early today because I could not sleep after reading the great comments in the thread about Spotify last night so I might have come in early just to take a few send off a few emails to everyone this morning to let them know about the comments here and elsewhere too. (https://forums.garmin.com/forum/on-the-trail/wrist-worn/fenix-5-5s-plus/1407024-spotify-app).

crutlefish I have already sent you a private message before I even decided to write this reply. I look forward to hearing your views on what I can do more in the forums and maybe what I can suggest to others too.

Plongeur92 Working on sleep data and do to that, we would be happy to have you beta testing and providing us with more feedback so we can me it everything you want it to be.

HeartR I so want to find a way to reproduce the battery dropping here so I can provide those steps to the people that need to know. I have worked with Product Support and if you are willing to contact them, they got a list of questions to ask you and mattering on your current location they might ask to bring in your device so that I can personally look at it. So far, every device I have brought in has not shown what the user said it would. I do not know if it is like when you take the car into the mechanic and everything is working then or if I am missing some small piece of data that you might be doing and I am not doing. So if you are willing to contact us, provide us with those answers and maybe provide any other data on how to reproduce it here, trust me! We want to hear from you!

AllanOlesen67 Send me a message about Twitter, I want to hear your suggestions on that. On the subject of Virtual Pacer, working on that and even is one of the features on my personal list I am keeping an eye on. Also, great come back!

Thank you for your response Garmin-Heath , 1 Week and 10 Hours since charging my 5+. Works better now on 5.10 Software and here are more information about the usage; No GPS activities at all, no Messages, no WLAN, my watchface GearMin from _mashake_, Synchronisation about 3-4 x Day. And now back to the battery issue after 100% charging it just yet, if I Reboot the Watch after its charged @ 100% first it boot up with 90% then charge it again to 100% in about 45 seconds and Reboot with 92% then Reboot again and now its on 95% charge it back to 100% took about 5 minutes for charging it after one sync and even two Reboots and the battery drop persists after Reboot
I used to contact the Support @ 21.09.2018 but never get an answer.
Hope you guys Interpret my data correctly(otherwise Contact me hope I can help), and yes I'm going to test it now with Stock watchface and will report back.
Sorry for my English since I'm from Austria ;-)
• I see discussion focus on music, but it happens for me that since upgrade to 5.10 I do experience very annoying issue. Every time I save activity (no matter what type) my Fenix 5+ hangs in "Saving" phase. I need to reboot it (around 10s press on Power button). Interestingly (and luckily) the activity seems to be actually saved, as after reboot the data is there and gets synced to Garmin Connect. I made some experiments and it seems that watch hangs only when activity saving is done when NOT connected to phone. When watch is connected - everything seems to work fine.

Do anybody experience anything like that?
• I'm having an odd one...
I tried to factory reset my watch this morning and all the music remained in the Music folder in the watch, but the watch couldn't see it or play any music.

It happens after some firmware upgrades or hard resets. Erase the music from the watch MUSIC directory and then reload it through Garmin Express
