Hello Fenix 5X Plus users,

We have new beta software ready for your upcoming adventures!

Note: Please allow for the updates to propagate across all servers. There is no need to post that the link does not work. It will after a bit of patience.

it is going out to the 5 series as well. My wife's 5s got it last night.

I received GPS 2.30 just now. Apparently, it is enough to connect the watch to the PC via USB without actually opening Garmin Express. (That is probably/hopefully configurable somewhere, though.)

Now that version 5.0 is out, how do we upgrade to that? Do we have to go back to 4.20? Etc? I connect to Express and sync'd the watch but it didn't do a software update.

It it was sent with GCM or over wifi. It may be on the watch and waiting to install "tonight".

You don't have an APAC device, correct?

Any chance to know when it will be push to the APAC watch?
I have one that is not able to calibrate the compass. Just bought it for less than a week and no matter how I try to calibrate, it will prompt retry. Do we know if the 5.0 will fix this issue? Thanks

Don't hold your breath - Support told me 4.74 would be out for APAC 'before the end of the month' back in September, and APAC hasn't even got that yet. If we're very lucky, maybe by the end of the month.

EDIT: Here we are, middle of October, and Garmin has rolled out....an update to 5.10 (see new 5.20 beta now out)...with APAC still on 4.20.
