The Bluetooth connection with IOS is getting better. Not 100%, but certainly better. If they fixed the CIQ date bug for custom watch faces, I might just keep this watch...
  • CBSalad have you verified that the CIQ date bug is not fixed? I flashed this version but won't really know if it's fixed until this evening.

P.S. Garmin always seems to release new betas the night before I have a race. Hope this one doesn't bite me in the butt.
  • I periodically get device reboot when I'm using 'bike' activity.
    1) Run Activity
    2) Press Option
    3) Navigation/ Use Maps
    4) Hold for selected place 1-2sec
    5) Reboot

What exactly do you mean with hold for selected place?
    My watch is not rebooting.
  • Thanks dev team for releasing this. I have an issue with the Bluetooth music player:
Connected to a Bluetooth 5.0 device (I have a Sony and another brand) to the watch, I cannot control the volume.
When selecting volume, I see "UP or DOWN to Adjust" with a +/-. Trying to use those controls, the volume does not change at all on the earphone.

Can you please take a look into this? This has been an issue from even the earlier firmware versions.

Nice...the CIQ watchface date bug is fixed! At least for me.
  • It’s 6PM PST and my watch is showing the correct date. I think the Connect IQ date bug is finally fixed.

Looks like CIQ date bug is fixed here too. Bluetooth is about 95% fixed. It will disconnect after the app closes, but if you reopen and then close the app as soon as the green dot appears, it will reconnect and stay connected after the app on IOS is closed. Battery life seems improved. Not sure if it's due to the BT fixes or other fixes, but it seems improved to me.

Running in to a little bug regarding the running dynamics. When paired, the "Don't forget to remove RD Pod" notification is displayed immediately after activating the activity (red) button from the main watch time screen. It appears briefly and then is dismissed and you're returned to the main watch time screen. This happens every other time you activate the activity button. For that reason I did not try the RD pod on a run yet. HRM-Tri is working as expected.

I swapped my Bose SoundSport headphones out for the SkullCandy Method headphones and my music streaming from the watch did not drop. I'm not sure if this was due to the update or swapping out with SkullCandy, but I will continue to test this week.

My watch connected and played to my Sennheiser CX Sport yesterday. Today it connects and plays but with NO sound. The headphones work perfectly with my phone.
