Cracks on wrist hr sensor?

Has anyone experienced any cracks on the wrist hr sensor of 5+ series? I see many complains about the previous 5 series so it’s something that has to be addressed...

Have you had any issues with cracks on your 5+?
  • I've seen posts about HR sensor cracks on just about every OHRM equipped Garmin watch that's been released. I've had many of these different models and wear them 24/7 and have never had a problem.

I seem to recall in the forum for one model (735 maybe?) that cleaning the back of the watch with alcohol could be a contributing factor.
  • I had a Fenix 3HR that developed cracks and Garmin replaced it with a re-manufactured watch. I have since then had a FR935 and a Fenix 5+, each for about a year, and have not seen any cracks develop in either OHR sensor. When it happened on the F3HR they told me it had to do with a bad batch of resin at the factory, I have no idea how accurate that statement was though.

    Is it?
Are you having problems? We aren't with two 935s that are nearly two years old and a four-month old 5+
  • I have my 5+ Ti since last June and it is in perfect condition.
  • I had an issue with my 5x. Garmin Support was fantastic and swapped it for me. I didn't have issues with the 2nd unit. The 5x plus i have is also perfect.
