HRM Run metrics not recording after 2 minutes on Fenix 5 Plus

I recently just upgraded my fenix 3 to the Fenix 5 plus. I have noticed that during running activities the following metrics are not recording past 2 minutes: Stride Length, Vertical Ratio, Vertical Oscillation, Ground Contact time, Ground contact time balance. The only metric that is recording correctly besides HR is Cadence, which might be coming from watch directly and not HRM run??

I am pretty sure it is not an issue with the HRM Run because all worked fine with the fenix 3. Any run I have had with the Fenix 5 doesn't display which has only been two runs. ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1386477.png
  • Disconnecting Bluetooth before starting a run seems to work, however I think it messed up the anaerobic and aerobic training. I had a pretty hard run this morning and spent plenty of time in zone 4. But my workout was 100% aerobic which it shouldn’t be. This is the first time this happens which I believed is either related to disconnecting Bluetooth or the HRM run data
  • Knocking on wood here but did a hard reset and completed a 92 minute run this AM and did not lose connection to either my HRM or Stryd foot pod. Hope this continues.
  • Good question and no, I haven't reconnected to my iphone 8 yet. I first want to make sure there isn't something fundamentally wrong with the ANT+ connection between my watch and HRM + Stryd.
  • Hello, I have just purchased a Fenix 5 Plus and I'm coming from an old Fenix 2 which already had running dynamics with HRM-Run (old version).

I am having this issue, the HRM-Run Sensor records HR but not RD.... did anyone found a solution for this? Do I have to return the device?
