Fenix 5x display issues

So I bought a Fenix 5x plus and I'm having display issues I haven't found anything about. I'll just go through the issues here and attach some pictures:

1. If I put heart rate in more than one field on my watch face (one of Garmins pre-installed ones), I get different values in the data fields. If I put heart rate in all of them I get different values in all of them (two may sync up just by chance while shifting).

2. I have numbers getting scrambled with one another so I can't read the heart rate and some times numbers are partially lost.

is anyone else having these issues? Can anyone check what happens if the put heart rate in multiple data fields? ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1375086.jpg
  • Krissche I think it best that you contact your local Garmin's Product Support Team directly so they can work with you directly. I was not able to reproduce the issue even with the new information you provided above and talking to someone directly would allow us to get that tiny bit of information that we are missing here to reproduce it.

I guess I don’t see the need to have the same datafield in three locations...what is the purpose?

As I wrote I get the same problem with or without having the same data in multiple fields, it just seems to make it worse and that makes it an easy way for me to describe how to replicate my problems with the watch/watches. And even if I don't see a need for heartrate in multiple fields either, it shouldn't be a problem on a $1000 watch if it's firmware lets me put it in multiple fields. I can post more pictures.ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1397297.jpg

Sent mine in assistance for the third time now, first two times had ALTIMETER and BAROMETER issues. They changed it with a new one, but the new one started to have screen issues after 2 days of use. I am starting to regret that I've spent a little fortune (for me it is) on this model. Hope the third time will be lucky and I can enjoy the 5x Plus after 7 months of having only faulty ones.

That's some serious screen issues! Really hope it works out. I still have the artifacting but I've just excepted it. It was a small fortune for me as well, but I'm content with what it offers even if there are hiccups. No competitor comes close to this watch.

They gave me a new one, it's the 3'rd 5x Plus. Hope this one will work as it should.

MY GARMIN FENIX 5X PLUS SUDDENLY STOPPED DISPLAYING. THREE GREEN LIGHTS ON THE BACK ARE ON. HOW TO START THE WATCH?

  • Did you force to switch it off (upper left button for 20s) or did you try a hard reset? If that doesn't work you should contact Garmin service.
