Very high price for garmin fenix 5x plus

Could you tell me why price is very high ?
What is the reason? what generate very high price?
Any special component ?

Do you have any shop which have good discount ?

I don't know how it is looks in other country but in Poland if I compare with minimum salary in Poland to buy the cheapest garmin fenix 5 plus it is start with 2 minimum salary and the most expensive version shapphire you need to work 3 months and don't spend money for food etc.
Cheaper is mobile phone or laptop.
Do you believe price is ok?

Honestly, there's so much a used fenix 3 can offer someone who enjoys anaylyzing metrics. So no need to break the bank on a 5plus series watch. I always wait a year or so and upgrade when a new series comes out. Now selling my fenix 3hr and found a new fenix 5x (non plus model) for £350. Hunt around and find a deal on a fenix 3 or if you have some money to spend get the 5 series and wait until next year when the 5 plus prices drop.

I'm with you.. I'm sticking with my AW3 LTE for now. It was cheap and I don't need to have my phone. I love the fenix series, but Garmin is pricing themselves out of the market. You cannot make it in this market with selling only to certain crowds... Just not enough profit to justify the support, supply chain, COGS, etc. They will drop these prices, you watch. Come September..

Actually, we do it in Türkiye. People buy watches from European companies like Germany, UK etc. Then they sell them in Türkiye, not incredibly cheaper but cheaper than distributor prices anyway.

By the way, I think total component price of the watch is even not 100 dollars. :D

I recently got my F5X Plus.
As others already said it's a premium sport watch for a premium price.
In 5 years it's gonna be worth nothing, it's not a good investment or something you need to survive.
It's definitely not life changing coming from the old 5 series.

Garmin make great watches for half the price, aim for that if you're not up to pay what Garmin think they can charge... if noone would buy it for the amount of money they're asking, the price would drop worldwide.

I would probably paid even more for it, but I'm a total tech geek who think it's OK to eat bread and drink water for the rest of July just to get this watch..

You do not need the top of the line fenix 5x plus to be able to run well. As long as you drag your ass out there to run, it's enough. I used to own fenix 5x, but sold it to get a mountain bike. Now i get by happily on my run with just my son cheap gshock and shoes

Market demand is what set the price, nothing else. Garmin gambled that people would buy the watch in sufficient quantities at this price point. If it turns out they were wrong they can always lower the price at a later date.

The main problem is not so much the price of the watch but its quality for the price and I am disappointed by the global quality of Garmin product. When you see that it’s buit with bad quality plastic sensor (cracked), that it has often a lot of bugs (see GPS traces when swimming for the new F5X plus), it is not acceptable to have a watch for this price when Garmin is making all they can do to reduce production cost but increasing sell price.

When I am comparing with Suunto, my Ambit 2 is still a rock and not any quality problem. If we could have Suunto quality product with Garmin functions we could have the better watch on the market...

Suunto please make good quality product !!! I bought the first Garmin Fenix model 6 years ago and it was horrible !!
