Version 8.00 available?

Just thought I'd give a head's up that I've been prompted to install version 8.00! Was a bit puzzled when Garmin Express said my descent was software version 8.00, so I unplugged it and got the install update prompt upon loading. Go go go?

Everyone, sorry about the delay for posting the software update but since it is a phased roll-out we did not want to cause any confusion with some people getting the update and others not getting the update…

I have it, too, plus Sensor Hub 6.50.

i can’t find anything on the Garmin site that lists what is in either update.

“Usually” with these updates, Garmin includes an option for more information or details.

I also have SW 8.00 + SensorHub 6.50 + 3 map updates (Descent MK1 EU version) Europe Middle East & Africa 5.60, Pacific 5.10 and North and South America 6.0

I can't see any differences.

You should check to see if Galileo has been enabled.

Given the extensive communications Garmin has with their user community, why are you surprised there is no information on a major software update?

Any noticeable differences? Does the Flashlight work properly again? What about the Compass issue and the saved/reciprocal heading?

7 month no update. Now an update and no informations (change log etc.) from Garmin here. Interesting behavior...

Well, I don’t have the update yet but I installed it on a staff members watch. I can confirm the following:

Flashlight Bug: Fixed

Compass Issue: Fixed

Galileo Added: No....Grrrr (why Garmin, WHY?)

No other apparent MAJOR changes. Glad it took 7 months to get this
