I recently had the watch fail on a dive, it reported depth change which plummeted from approx 6m to 364m!!! On ending the dive the watch remained stuck in dive mode. Anyone else experienced something similar?

Sounds like a catastrophic failure of the depth sensor.
You should call Garmin Support. They will most likely replace the watch. I don't know if it is possible to recalibrate the depth sensor but I wouldn't be wanting to dive with that particular watch again.
Tom5757 I have just sent you a private message. We would like to bring your device in to be evaluated so we can identify what caused this issue.
Tom5757 Could you send me a private message when you are able? It looks like I am unable to get my message through to you.
Hi Nate,
I've sent the device in already ref: 1599113 << Reference ID: 13936828K0 >> <Q#:1005507>.
Id be really keen to find out what went wrong with this!
It was unusable after this as once its in dive mode its locked in until you end the dive. No chance i can pressurize it that much to get it into normal operation:)
Sent it back to garmin who have promised a replacement, but still waiting...
Similar story happen to me last week end. Depth sensor failure!
Other similar case?
Similar problem encountered last month- was doing a shallow dive (<18m) when I suddenly appeared to be trying to break depth records for about 2-3 seconds. Yes those are metres, not feet.
Fortunately it did not repeat itself for the rest of the dive. Haven't dove with it since
Even if your watch is out of warranty, contact Garmin about this. I wouldn’t be surprised if they replace it. One of my employees had cracks on his Mk1 HR sensor and we were able to get it replaced with a new one (he was out of warranty).
I have had a watch failure on a dive today as well!! Very disappointing! I think the sensor is faulty as it did not detect the dive at all on 2 consecutive dives! When I manually began a dive the depth was stuck at 0 and 1 feet despite me being at least 30-40 feet down!
did you ever resolve this? My Mk1 also did that two days ago and it not suitable for diving now. I have followed all the steps and still gives me issues and still tells me not to dive, failed to read depth sensor
