Routing calculation on Base Camp differs on Device

I create a route on Base Camp and set is as direct.

I then change profile to Offroad.

I have taken out all avoidance in this profile.

Looks great.

I then send it to device in Direct profile.

Looks good on device.

I then choose the offroad activity when I want to navigate it.

The route is nothing like Base camps

Another note to add.
I neglected to mention I was importing Direct route from another app, then I would modify.
That was when I was having the Different route generated on the device.

Maps on GPSr are not the same.

I plug device in and use the Topo map that is installed on device.

No local map on pc

OK, then next option is that the routing preferences in BaseCamp do not match the routing preferences on the GPSr, and that is causing the different routes.

Most users send the route TWICE, once with routing, and once direct, so they can have both options on the GPSr. One will follow exactly as shown in BC, the other will allow the device to change the routing.... The user picks the one that works best for them at the time.

Many users also will convert the non direct route into a track and send that track as well, so they can enable it on the GPSr and see if the GPSr takes them away from the pre-determined route....

Thanks for the advice.

Yes I can navigate it fine if I save it in DIRECT and set the GPS Routing to direct.
If I get the same route on BC in direct mode it change the profile to OffRoading it looks great as it has more points.
If I get the same Direct route on the GPSr and select OffRoad it just doesn't look the same.
GPSr OffRoading Profile is different somewhere.
I will stick to the DIRECT way.

I just went back to BC and created a route rom scratch while in OFFROAD profile.
Created it manually.
It worked perfectly on both BC and device.

I am falling into every newbie trap. Thanks for your patience.
