Wow that’s an excellent and comprehensive review. What a discovery that the mini 3 should fail on an emergency sos transmission. Obviously Garmin does virtually little or no testing of their software before they release new products. Sorry to say at $700 for an upgrade from the mini 2 it’s just no way. In a couple of years a newer model will be out hopefully with loadable maps and the mini 3 would just be a $700 paper weight then. I’m sure satellite voice and photo messaging will be coming to cell phones soon.
