inReach Messenger: "The activation is pending for this device".

I’m having the exact same problem. On the messenger it just keeps switching between the sending and waiting messages, but never finishes. I’ve tried with it outside and clear ciew of the sky and connected to the app. When I tap to activate in tbe app I get a message that says pending. All of my info is correct in Garmin.  We bought two at the same time and my wife’s activated fine. 

Open a support ticket. Judging from forum traffic and periodic "maintenance windows" for activation, activation has been a mess lately.

Actually, it eventually went through. I tried several times restarting and letting it try to activate for a while, but had no luck. What eventually worked was forgetting I left it outside sitting on the ground when a heavy storm came through overnight. 

No I didn’t.  Garmin was just being Garmin, you know, SNAFU. 

My reply was to the original poster. I understand from your earlier post that your issue was also already resolved as well.  If you are still encountering issues with activation, please contact Product Support directly for assistance with your device.
