Can messages be sent to subscriber's email address?

I have configured preset messages to include the email address that is associated with my Garmin account and 2 other email addresses. Messages are received by the 2 other recipients but messages never arrive to the email associated with my Garmin account. I have tried preset and custom messages and neither is received. I am the admin of my email domain so I have checked SPAM, Junk, logs, etc.

I contacted support and the agent told me that messages *MAY* not be sent to the subscriber's email or SMS. The answer was vague so I am not clear on whether you can include your email and/or SMS that is associated with Garmin as a message recipient.

Can anyone confirm that if they include the email associated with their Garmin account in a message that they receive the email message?

  • I don't know of anything that would interfere with EMAIL. If you have associated your phone number with the Messenger app and your M2, you will lose access to SMS - but not email.

    I assume you have checked your spam folder?

    First thing to check is the inbox on your account at explore.garmin.com. If the messages show up there (pretty sure they will) but do not come out the other end, the problem is most likely somewhere in the Garmin servers. A support ticket is likely your only option. Ask to have the ticket escalated if the agent cannot give you a definitive answer. As always, use chat or phone in preference to email for the ticket.

  • I have edited this to remove your personal email address. Are you using the messenger app or the explore app or both on your phone? Are you sending the messages from one of the apps or from the device directly?
