What exactly do you mean with "mapshare appears and disappears"?
The last week or so there have been issues with availability of the MapShare web page and Explore web, or both loading very slowly. So if you're having issues loading the MapShare page it is probably related.
Best report it to Garmin Support, the more reports the better.
I am having what sounds like the same issue. While my InReach Mini 2 is logging and sending data points for my track without issue, when you open the mapshare link to view it, sometimes it works, and sometimes it just presents the map and a loading wheel icon that spins and nothing happens. I have reproduced this on phone (iOS), PC (OSX) across multiple wifi networks and devices and countries.
DO you have a contact email / URL to do this? I can't find the right place to complain. This is totally *** unacceptable for safety equipment.
Chat with US support seems to work best. Go to the support page of your device at support.garmin.com/en-US and there should be a Contact Us for more Help link or Chat / Call buttons on the bottom of the page.
Email sent to Garmin Support usually ends up in some kind of black hole and may take days before getting answered, if at all.

Sometimes is it working for me, sometimes not. And it is more often not working at all. Not reliable /trustable at the moment at all.It is a lottery at the moment…
currently two of our 3 accounts are completely useless, as there is no tracking displayed, simply no data at all.
The explore website still says all green and charges are deducted from the card account.
Neither current nor passed data can be retrieved.
The less mapshare works, it does simply nothing at all.
It’s a serious issue and it seems Garmin is not aware of it or unable to fix it quickly. A Garmin statement is needed!!!
