INReach - Tread Overland - Preset Messages not syncing or contacts

I am really having difficulty getting this sorted out, 1 hour on phone to support, about 20 emails and still no preset message content or contacts syncing to my InReach from Garmin Explore Website through the Inreach Service on my Tread Overland Edition. 

  • Just one thing that comes to mind: when did you setup your inReach account? If it's after September 2022, preset messages have been replaced by check-in messages. The text of a check-in messages cannot be changed.

    And also, both preset and check-in messages always go the recipients as configured on Explore web, so I don't think you can actually see the recipients on the Tread unit itself.

  • Yes, I setup after September 2022 and yeah i am aware thanks for the additional thought. I used InReach extensivley in a Mini 2 and am reasobaly up to date on how the InReach functions, the thing is that I dont even see the text of the messages, just a line that says "Preset 1 - Preset 2 etc..with no content at all. Plus no contacts at all of course.
