Messenger frozen

I have currently a problem with Messenger

it is 'frozen' , means it is not possible to do anything, it does not react to any action on the pushbuttons, it can not be charged, it displays 27% of charge.

I know the way to factory reset via menu, but this can not be reached as the menu buttons are inop. Is there some kind of trick to wake the unit?

It is slightly difficult situation, as I have the device not n my hand, it is on mission far away and with an rather inexperienced user.

I assume you have already adviced to try to press and hold the power button for 20 seconds?

well, it is not in my hands directly, so can not 100% say that this was done, but the user claims to have tried and nothing happened. The display seem to show same and charging is apparently not possible.

OK, adavised the user to hold the button for 2min

and yes, now it rebooted, can be charged and will hopefully pass the selfcheck later

(it is not easy, when users under stress 5000km away)
