Day & Date Missing

Hi all,

Following a recent update to firmware 4.01, the day abbreviation/date have disappeared from the top right corner of the home screen. Has anyone else experienced this, is it a known issue? Thanks. 

  • Yes, noticed is, too. Looked like this before:

    We sincerely appreciate you reaching out about this as without reports like these, we wouldn't be able to address issues. We've since provided the details to our Engineering team for further review and they're working on a resolution via a software update. We're hoping it will be available by the end of February/early March.

    While your Messenger device can install updates wirelessly via the Messenger app when made available, you can also check and install them via our Express computer program. For more information, see - Updating the Software on Your inReach Messenger

    At this time, there's no other workaround, no other place to see the date on the device itself. As the issue is software-related, replacing the device itself isn't a viable option for fixing this. We thank you for your patience while we work on this software update.

    Keep in mind that if the two arrow icon (that indicates something is either incoming or outgoing) is present in the top right corner, the date will not show up until the sending/receiving is complete and that icon is no longer present.
