...or you can download one of the "battery widgets" from apps.garmin.com/.../apps. After installing you get a wonderful battery"meter" by quick-cliking the powerbutton and then press the right…
This is amazing. You actually have to download an app to see the battery level of a device used for emergencies ^^ It's cool that there is a workaround though. Thanks for the input!
I was not able to locate any battery widget compatible with the 66i on that site. Am I missing something. The only ones I can find are Data Fields which do not provide enough information other that battery…
I can confirm this. Just in case that JCP is as a beginner as me and not able to locate the widget:
1. Install the widget through Garmin Express
2. Start up the device
3. Briefly press the power button to get into the menu for brightness, keyguard etc.
4. In that menu, press the selection key (largest button) either right or left and you'll see the widget.
Thank you for this. I was having a hard time figuring out where the widget actually shows up.
Next time take time to read the links others send you with the information you want...
GPSrChive > GPSMAP 66i > Operation > Status Page would have resolved this mystery for you... And probably many others!
Same as for me!
NO real working app!!
There are MULTIPLE Connect IQ widgets, apps and data fields to accomplish this task in a multitude of ways... And they all work on the 66i.
I cannot find ANY which would work GPSMAP-66i ...
I find three in less than a minute.. I don't think you are looking in the correct place.
GPSrChive > GPSMAP 66i > Pages > Connect IQ will have specific links for your device.
