Garmin express wont find z82

I switch on the Z82 and set garmin express to search then as I connect the USB between the Z82 and computer I get the charging screen on the unit and garmin express cannot find it

Try reading the below outlined thread and the fix presented by OldGolfingNut in it.

And also make sure you use the original USB cable for the Z82.

Some cheap USB cables can have issues with the Z82 or other HW devices.

Hi Golfdesperado,

thanks for your help, the issue was I wasn't using the USB lead provided with the Z82,so the computer couldnt see it. Plugged in using correct lead and Garmin Express found it straight away,

I had the same issue and this solved it:

1) Use the Garmin cable that came with it (or call support and get one sent to you)

2) I had to use a USB port ON my laptop. For whatever reason it did not like the dock nor powered hub, even though everything else I have uses it just fine.
