Distance detection not working

My approach Z30 was  working perfect  for  two rounds then  it  stopped detecting any  distance.   I can not  lock on to hazards or pins.   I tried changing the battery no  improvement.   Every one  in  a while it will  briefly  show  me  a distance bit it disappears immediately.

I have  searched  the  web.  No  one  else  seems to  be reporting this.   I am  returning the  unit, but am hesitant to  buy another.  I have a Garmin Epix 2 and love how  they  work together.

Has anyone  else seen this  issue?   I am  guessing I got unlucky, but do  not  want  to  spend  that  much money for a useless range finder.

Note I have  a  Garmin Approach R10, Garmin bike computer, Garmin. Bike radar and have  been  very  happy with  their performance.  So not a hater at  all.

    Well, i have returned the device back to Garmin. My guess is that something wrong with the laser. When i first got it, it worked perfectly with object even 400 yards away, but now it cant even catch the object 200 yards. Lens are perfectly clean, software is updated. This is clearly a problem with the laser

    so many users are complaining here, but i see no improvements.. so many returns stories in this forum for z30. i was going to place an order next week, but i guess i would have to keep coolshot pro for now.

    I am having the exact same issue now. Worked great the first 5 rounds or so now it won’t pick up any target.

    Same. My Epix 2 ran out of battery and Z30 stopped working about same time today.  Will check if it works again with watch charged, but lack of Bluetooth connection should not preclude fundamental function of a rangefinder. 

    Cody thanks for getting back...it is no longer reading distances much at all, so I've contacted support for an exchange.  It did hit the turf when we hit a bump in the cart with unit on with magnet, so I would vote for a stronger magnet if Garmin would consider.

    Mine is doing the same thing just blinks, I can't trust the yardage on it.

    Exact same issue for me. Epix pro 2, z30, circle flashes, no distances. Utterly useless. I’ve no idea what to do but we are stuck with a useless rangefinder. Farming, please help.

    Bummer. I am now having this same issue after 4 rounds. Has there then any resolution?

    I returned mine to American golf for a refund. Bought a Nikon with the cash. I don’t see a fix coming soon.
