Firmware 23.20

The problem has not been solved. Everything is set correctly, but I see that the route through the course is not displayed in Garmin Connect and on Strava. Pleas e give the work arround to 

 solve the  problem. The only thing I see is the score card.

  • Mine was still selected to ON. I toggled it OFF-ON and it worked for one more round. After the latest round that didn’t show up, I again checked and it’s still selected ON. I’ve just toggled it again and will check again after I next play.

    On the Garmin S70 (firmware 23.20), the option “Scorecard + Activity” has been completely removed from the golf profile.

    Arrow right️ Result: With this firmware version, the S70 no longer saves a GPS track during golf activities.
    Therefore:

    • In Garmin Golf, you can still see your round (because it uses a different type of data).
    • In Garmin Connect, you see no route/map, because no GPS track is being recorded.

    This is not something you can fix with settings, because Garmin removed the feature in the software.

    • The S70 now records scorecard data only, not the route.

  • Still works for me..... Have a GPS track recorded for the last time I played. Watch was on 23.20.

  • Thanks for the research and the post but something does not add up.

    There's nothing about all the removal of the "golf GPS activity from Connect" in the official change log...
    Main issue is that the Golf activity itself is irregularly missing from Garmin Connect (when it should be 100% present).

    I personally could care less about the GPS tracking, I need the Activity to be uploaded.

  • Yes I know Chatgpt makes mistakes.  Garmin help is not responding to my questions. So you try something different. Incidentally, the watch has also recorded the route on occasion. But lately it hasn't worked.

    Garmin needs to sort this. 

  • It's quite annoying that Garmin has not acknowledged the issue.

    I understand that intermittent bugs that seems to be limited to a few users are quite difficult to pinpoint, but letting us know that someone is looking at it would be nice.

    Can you add the ability to revert to the previous firmware version, as issues with upgrades seem to be common.....
