Virtual caddie not working after updates

My virtual caddies has stopped working after the last updates and the hole accuracy has started to become way out on several holes on a variety of course.

I've restarted the rounds. Restarted the watch. Restarted the phone. Caddie just stays red. It comes back on every now and again but 90% of the time it just doesn't work.

Software version 22.06

Any ideas

Update August 29, 2025:

Our engineers have indicated this concern should now be resolved. This was a fix on the backend with the Golf app. You will need to sync a new file for this. So upload a scorecard…

Still not working. Updated s70 to 22.07 this morning, also changed club data and restarted the watch. Went to play golf. Club selection is fine it shows my clubs with my names, but virtual caddie is not working. How is it possible in the year 2025 not to double check software updates... or maybe we need to start talking about refunds, when one of the key features of the watch is 75% of the time not working and also the 25% it is working you always have to change some infos or do manually some weird corrections.

Having a round in tomorrow (12 hours from now) - will report if the latest update works (or not)

One think I noticed after the update: weather temperature is completely off by 5C.
Now trying to update location to see if it will update temp

FIXED!
after updating the location, even when trying to synch with Garmin Connect on my phone, the temp would not change.
But I noticed the small message at the bottom of the watch screen indicating the last update time (Eg: 10 min ago)
The watch did somehow update later as the message turned to "now" and the temp is now correct.

I just checked my Garmin Express app for the latest software update. The latest version available to update my S70 was 22.06 not 22.07. Please advise when version 22.07 will be available on the Garmin Express app. Thanks.

Went out for a round this morning and the virtual caddie still isn’t working. Watch updated to 22.07. Club data is correct and showing correct clubs in my bag but just ️ on virtual caddie hasn’t

My virtual caddy has stopped working this week, my S70 says I’m on software version 20.21 I have tried to update to version 22.07 with no luck I have tried 4 times now and each time say installed but when I check my watch still says I’m on version 20.21?

Hi Cody, s70 still having problems with virtual caddy.

. installed version 22.07.

. checked that version was installed.

. Check at 3 different holes at the course and virtual caddy still no working.

.Changed in my bag the name of the putter and synchronized watch

. Watch shows changes to putter done in my bag.

Updated to 22.07 this morning on S70, played this afternoon, virtual caddie still the !

I was able to update my S70 to 22.07. Played a round today. Virtual caddie is still not working. Red exclamation in space on watch where club recommendations are usually noted.
