Wondering about the necessity of having my phone during a round

I just got the Approach S70, Z30 and CT10 sensors. The S70 and Z30 are paired, as are the CT10 sensors. When I play a round, do I still need to have my phone nearby?

A Bluetooth connection between the Approach S70, smartphone, and the Garmin Golf app running in the background is only needed if you would like the following features while golfing:

Smart notification relay from phone to the watch.
Weather, Wind Speed, and Wind Direction during the round.
Green Contour features (if Garmin Golf Membership subscription is active).

All other golf features on the watch work through the sensors and preloaded mapping installed on the watch.
