Purchase S70 or wait?

Question

I am in the market for a golf watch and I believe Garmin are the leaders when it comes to GPS watches. I was thinking of buying an S70 as I&rsquo;m assuming it&rsquo;s the top of the range within the Garmin lineup but I noticed this watch came out back in May 2023 which means it&rsquo;s already nearly 1.5 years old. Am I better off waiting until next year in case an S72 comes out or is it very unlikely an upgrade to this watch will come out anytime soon.

 Currently there are a few AMOLED touchscreen watches available from Garmin that will offer all of the same golf features available on the S70...it is worth comparing the additional features for the price-point on other Garmin outdoor wearable watches that may offer a better fit interest and features-wise, that include options not available S70.
